This course focuses on the Italian musical tradition from the Renaissance to the present, as represented in the lyrics and the libretti of song and opera. (lec 3) cr 3. Crosslisted with ITAL 2036. Students may not retain credit for both MUSC 2036 and either ITAL 2036 or ITAL 2407.
